Antoinette L.T. Russell

I am Antoinette Russell. I was born in Durham, N.C. and two months following my birth my family and I, which included my mom, dad and older brother William Russell, moved to New York and remained there for three years. For that reason I prefer to claim New York as my origins although I grew up in Greensboro, NC. I lived in Greensboro for 12 years of my life until I moved to Raleigh, NC in 2006 for college.

I now have another brother, Darryl Dunston (D.J.) and sister, Makayla Galloway. Through the years my family and I have undergone many trials and tribulation-some of which we are still overcoming. That has made us a very strong and proud group of people. We have grown together and remained a close tight-knit family. Throughout the years my family has supported me through all my endeavors including my pursuit of a career in public relations.

I am a fun and exciting recent graduate of North Carolina State University. I just completed my degree in Communication Studies with a concentration in Public Relations. I do Independent PR Consulting as well as photography. I stumbled upon public relations by accident-to be completely honest. I took a public relations course at NC A&T SU when I was a senior in high school and fell in love with the course. It just made sense to me and it combined many of my passions (problem-solving, photography, design, videography and law) into one degree. Photography, however has been something that I have always loved. I still remember the first film camera my mother purchased for me when I was in elementary school.

Reading my blog will introduce you to my thoughts on the changes of the communication process, photography and other happenings in our chaotic world. Through my blog you will get to know me and through your comments I will get to know you and hopefully grow as a writer.
